Ok… So here’s so recap of my week… Day 5 I was invited to a meeting where I was told it’s not you, you are great .. it’s us. So today is technically your last day. I will not get into the weeds of the who and why because it really isn’t relevant to the entire story (and besides contractually I can’t anyways but anywho). Yeah so the last few days has been kind of surreal.
Seeing as though we have a double portion of New Beginnings with it being August 8th, I decided to write a post today. So the surreal feeling isn’t due to me not believing I am no longer employed however it is due for some reason I feel a little lighter. No, a lot lighter! And trust me it has nothing to do with having this great nest egg waiting to be cracked. I really cannot describe it. Of course this peace in the midst of the storm can only be attributed to the Lord giving me this peace and I truly THANK HIM!
The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 ESV
During prayer time, someone prayed for the Ram in the bush to appear. Of course I totally agreed however, I began to ponder on the conditions in which the Ram was revealed. This isn’t the first time I’ve written about Abraham’s faith and it is certainly a testament to how we should walk. During a time of what could be described as the worst day of his life, Abraham calmly received God’s instruction to sacrifice is only beloved son and commenced to walk out those instructions nearly to the very end. Please read the account in its entirety Genesis 2:1-19. I also talk about it here in a previous post Where’s the Evidence of Your Faith .
It was Abraham’s faith in God and unwavering peace during this ultimate challenge and essentially Abraham demonstrated his COMPLETE trust in God. It was then the Lord provided the sacrifice for worship. Abraham acknowledges that “The Lord will provide”
And Abraham lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, behind him was a ram, caught in a thicket by his horns. And Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son. So Abraham called the name of that place, “The Lord will provide”; as it is said to this day, “On the mount of the Lord it shall be provided. Genesis 2:13-14 ESV
He is our Jehovah Jirah the God who is our Provider who is the source of all our Provisions both great and small!
While I lean into God and His Word, I am waiting on His direction. I know that it is during these times it is so very important not to waver or get distracted.
I prayer that if you have a relationship with theTrue and Living God through Jesus Christ and if you are going through a Test or Challenge please don’t give up or give in to the storm and it’s raging winds. Please lean into the Lord and speak to that storm, mountain, or situation to MOVE! Wait on the Lord and be of Good Courage!
WaitontheLord: beofgoodcourage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, ontheLord. Psalm 27:14 KJV
I am still unsure on how I would like to chronicle this “Restart” for right now I guess I write about what I’ve been meditating over the past few days.
It amazes me how whenever we get something new we seem to always be so eager to maintain and look after it. You remember your very first car? I certainly do – a used White 1988 Plymouth Horizon with Light Blue Interior. I was so excited when I paid cash which meant no monthly payments! When I tell you, I cleaned that car virtually EVERYDAY! Kept the wheels shining and I made sure to keep it smelling like new! Whenever someone needed I ride, I was willing to volunteer to accommodate.
As time went on, I sorta got lax on the daily washing and reverted to every week. I made every attempt to make sure it smelled nice and kept it from being cluttered. However, after the novelty wore off out of nowhere things started to need fixing — a tire flat, the starter needed replacing. Now my new to me car needed more from me than I expected. Now don’t get me wrong…. I was still happy I had a vehicle to get me to and from work and have “reliable” transportation or the family but all of my excitement was met with a dose reality and was doused out a bit. Now the weekly maintenance quickly moved to once a month. Those tires weren’t so shiny any more and I could barely smell my cherry car deodorizer and although I didn’t leave anyone stranded so to speak, I wasn’t so eager to offer that ride.
One day while in a conversation with someone reminiscing about when we come to the Lord it is so fresh and exhilarating. We are so eager to meet with Him during prayer and devotional time and of course we are talking about His goodness WHENEVER possible. Unfortunately, much like that new car if we are not careful we begin to take less care of our relationship with Christ due to all of the demands and/or trials of Life. We often do this with our relationship’s as well. We become distracted and complacent and believe me it is easy to find yourself in that place if you are not careful. While having this conversation, I felt like I had put some things to the wayside and I definitely had to repent to the Lord for not taking charge of my time with Him.
There are so many distractions that we face and some are those distractions are very legitimate however one thing we must never forget is to always cultivate and grow our relationship with God through Christ. The primary way we do that is by staying in His Word and being accountable to those who have a strong faith.
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Philippians 2:12-13 NKJV
And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13 NKJV
If we don’t take accountability or responsibility of our relationship with Christ, who will?
Until Next Time…. Have Faith in God and MOVE Accordingly!
So today is 8/1/25 and what would typically be the 1st day of my yearly attempt to document my traditional 31 day “restart”. Usually I am excited about diving in and taking this time out to plug in and take advantage of another opportunity to reset. So to be totally transparent, I am doing this strictly out of obedience to Lord, as I don’t “feel” like journaling or looking retrospectively on 2025. This year has been the most difficult for not only myself but my entire immediate family due to the tragic loss of my granddaughter. Yes it was a terrible blow and although it was just 6 months ago it seems like yesterday…. I guess in the timeline of grief it was just yesterday.
I’ve been through several iterations of “restarting” this year and they all end up in one place… utter sadness and once I realize I am there I attempt to do things to keep me out of the sunken place of grief and depression. This is the ride that I am unwillingly on right now is one that I wouldn’t want for anyone. I certainly didn’t want to start with such a heavy subject upon my return however this is life and we do life here.
Today I just want to leave you with this thought – It is NEVER too late to start again… to try again… to review etc. No it is not. As long as we are still here the Lord has granted us another shot at walking out our assignment, which primarily glorifying The True and Living God through acceptance of His Son Jesus Christ. Isn’t that what He represents? A NEW BEGINNING?
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” II Corinthians 5:17 NKJV
So in true fashion of what this blog is all about… if you’ve happened upon this post and don’t know Jesus or even if you do know Him perhaps this truly is a divine connection. Please stick around. I am sure that the Lord will speak to you here and with the being said…
Welcome to Restart2025!!!
Until Next Time… Have Faith in God and Move Accordingly!
I trust all is well and if you are going through some turbulence PLEASE know that the Lord has prepared the WAY for you and “This Too Shall Pass!”
I wanted to share things during this journey this month that resonated with me. Not just to have a checkmark next to may Daily To Do List. For this reason, you may not get a post every single day but when you do I pray that the Lord speaks to you!
Recently I listened to a young lady’s podcast where she admonishes everyone to ensure that we are looking at the evidence of someone’s confession of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It reminded me of a previous post I’d written,“Where’s the Evidence of Your Faith? It talks about how Abraham demonstrated his Faith in God and had to Believe in the things He promised when the circumstances looked totally different.
In her podcast, she covered how many times we hear people proclaiming salvation and/or how they honor “God”, however the fruit of their life directly contradicts that statement. Now please don’t confuse someone going through or struggling in an area or two in their life. NO! If the the substance of your life, the evidence of a person’s life or The Fruit of their life contradicts what they proclaim there has to be a huge question mark.
The Word of God says,
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.” NKJV Matthew 7:15-20
So much in todays time, people use the term “god” and automatically we assume that the reference is speaking to the True and Living God!
Did you know that we are called to be fruit inspectors? Yes! In the above scripture, this is an instruction given to warn Believers that there are false teachers out there claiming that they are prophets and teachers from God however their fruit (the evidence of their life/lifestyle) contradicts their proclamation. This principle is one that we responsible for in not only viewing others BUT first our own.
I know that you’ve heard this before, “Don’t Judge Me… Judge Yourself” or “God is my Judge.. Not You” all of these statements and similar ones have some truth in them however, we do have a responsibility to make a Righteous Judgement in that we are not casting judgement but analyzing what is being said versus what you actually see as evidence before you!
So after you’ve removed the boulder out of your own eye, you are now able to “see” or discern what it is you are viewing whether it is a person’s life or things or statements someone is making. It all should add up to reflect the true evidence of that person’s faith and of course the Word of God.
Until next time…. Have Faith in God and Move Accordingly!
If we paid attention from those mistakes, we grow and learn from them. Let’s face it anyone can read tons of self-help books and take whatever course “To a Better Me” but the only real handbook to this place is the Word of God (the Bible). Typically most of us don’t get our hands on that (the Bible) until later on in life and when we do we have to make sure we understand it and apply it correctly. Hopefully along the way, we received some nuggets or guidance on how we should walk. However, for the most part we still have to learn and grow. It is a continuous process.
Each of us has what I like to call ‘the circumstance of our environment’ aka our family, the time, place, ethnicity or even the color spoon we were fed and of course we didn’t have a choice in any of those selections (Acts 17:26). You may have asked yourself, “Why did I have to experience this evil by the hand of family or stranger?” or “Why do I have to bear the responsibility of this or that?” We run from the mistakes that our parents made only to find out in principle we’ve actually committed those same blunders.
I’ve had some regretful things I’ve had to face – trust and believe it is a process of letting those things go. In the bigger scheme of things, I can take a look at my life thus far and see that those life events both good and bad ALL have made me to be who I am today!
We often cite Romans 8:28 as the sum of all those things we go through will ultimately be used to our purposed end . It reads:
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:28 NKJV
Paul reminds us that we are NOT always promised a rose garden with added cupcakes and sprinkles. He states that as Believers we live this bleak life of “oh woe is me!” however, God is telling us through these scriptures that there is far more that we should look forward to in our sufferings, mistakes, mishaps etc. and that is the end product that will be shown in us! We must remember that where we are weak there is the Holy Spirit to assist us and guide us!
So when you start getting down on your past choices or current situation remember that:
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us
Romans 8:18 NKJV
and when it gets hard:
Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered
Romans 8:26 NKJV
I trust that anyone who reads this understands that although it (life) can and will bring its challenges, please remember to only rely on God through Jesus Christ! It’s more than “being enough” and feeling filled with affirmations that will only fuel us barely to the next obstacle or event in our life. The only way we are more than enough is Knowing, Believing, Living and Walking in CHRIST!
Leave regret at the doorstep of the past! EVERYTHING that we experience should point to the day in eternity when we are made whole before Him. Until that moment, live your today getting and getting to wholeness on this side of life.
Until Next Time…. Have Faith in God & MOVE Accordingly!
Yes it’s me. Still here and pushing through! It is August restart time and although I haven’t been consistent with my posts I have definitely been doing the work!
My word for 2024 is Intentional.
Which describes actions that are done on purpose; deliberate. We typically see that word to an act of crime or violence however it is a neutral word and I needed to adopt that word this year because I decided I didn’t want to live haphazardly or life on a whim as it comes. I wanted to be aware and intentional about my planning and activities.
Of course my first step in attempting to make that happen was and is to seek the Lord. Did you know that or God is an Intentional God? Every aspect of your existence be it known to you or not is intentional! Guess what our very own actions whether God wanted us to go that route is intentional on His part too because He gives us free will to choose! (No more blaming God for our mishaps!)
Yes! God is very much intentional.
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.” Romans 8:28-29 NKJV
Being intentional is so much tied into our purpose in life and it is imperative that we know what that is and all of the things and people connected to that purpose.
I’ll leave you this to meditate on our 1st day together on this August 2024 Restart….
“Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk — not as unwise people but as wise — making the most of the time, because the days are evil. So don’t be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.” Ephesians 5:15-17 HCSB
May you allow the Lord into your life to lead and guide you to His Truth!
Have you ever had that feeling or desire to move or to do a certain thing but you just didn’t know how to get there or how to accomplish the task?
You didn’t know where you are going or have no clue where to begin!
You just know you needed to MOVE!
That is THE most uncomfortable feeling ever!
It not only doesn’t feel good but accompanied with those feelings comes doubt of ….
“Am I really supposed to be moving toward x?” or “Did I hear that right Lord?” or “Lord did you even tell me to do that?”
Once doubt sets, then comes its buddy fear. You “fear” that if you move and it’s not really the Lord or even what if it is the Lord and you are not doing what He is called you to do exactly? or What’s after or what’s next?
UGH!
I can only imagine the depths of fear and uncertainty that Abraham must have felt when God told him to leave what was so comfortable to him. The life he knew and everything he was accustomed to was about to change. I am pretty sure he had to feel an overwhelming sense of uncertainty at some point.
Perhaps this is why he didn’t move according to the Lord’s instruction.
God calls Abraham
Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you. 2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you,And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
4 So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him.
Genesis 12:1-4 NKJV
God instructed Abram to leave the place where he grew up, the people he was familiar with and out from under the authority of his earthly father’s influence and rule. The Lord then proclaims that He will show him the place where he is to go, that he will be a great nation, his name will be great and he would be blessed and a blessing. That is certainly ALOT. So Abram leaves… but his departure includes his nephew. This move really shows the level of faith he was working with at the time and the doubt that he wouldn’t be able to do this alone.
So God tells him what He would do for him and through him BUT yet this is still not enough assurance!
Oh wow!
Many on the outside looking in may have said, “The nerve of this man he has heard from God himself and yet he still questions and doubt?”
Please be careful!
How often have we looked at someone who is so talented and we are astonished about how this person doesn’t see what everyone else sees within them and about them? How many times have we felt insecure or unequipped for the task that the Lord has called us to do?
Moving as instructed by God even with His accolades and assurance can be difficult at times, especially if we don’t take the time to understand the why or the what around our own disobedience.
Abraham’s story is listed as one of the quintessential examples of how one grows in faith and seeing the MOVE of God revealed to us in the Spirit and played out in everyday life.
The weight of all what God called Abraham to do and represent no doubt was exceedingly overwhelming and virtually impossible to fit into his finite mind! However we must remember that this mission was called by the One who does the equipping and provides all that is needed to accomplish it. What Abraham’s overall issue was that the promises of God (a great nation) could not be evident because he didn’t have a son and surely he and his wife were too old to produce an heir. Virtually every trial or challenge stemmed from this so called apparent obstacle.
The fact is – No. You cannot do it alone, because without God being at the helm of His plans and purposes for your life, you will never accomplish what He has destined for your life!
There is this thing that God requires of us and that is to BELIEVE in Him which is having FAITH in Him.
The Word of God says that without faith it is IMPOSSIBLE to please Him!
But without faith itis impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Hebrews 11:6 NKJV
So in the midst of Abraham believing all the spiritual AND natural evidence of what God promised him, he still made a few missteps and wrong choices but through it all his faith in God grew. There was one choice, I thought was extremely powerful and truly demonstrates the extraordinary growth in his faith in God.
It was when God instructed Him to sacrifice the very thing that was needed to fulfill all what God told him– and that was to Sacrifice the Promise – his only true heir Issac.
Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!”And he said, “Here I am.”2 Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”
Genesis 22:1-2
Abraham gathered up the necessary things needed and along with two young male servants and his son Issac traveled to the place the Lord told him to go to make said sacrifice. When he got there he instructed the young men…
Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you
Genesis 22:5b NKJV
“We WILL come back to you”
CLEARLY! After all he’d been through, Abraham learned to TRUST God! To the point when instructed to sacrifice the very thing that was promised to him, he was willing to follow through with those instructions, which also shows that he had faith in the Lord over any promise! However, when Abraham said, “WE will come back to you” proved that he knew that God was just, all knowing, a provider all of things and most importantly certainly NOT a liar!
So as we continue to read along in this account Abraham prepares the place and Isaac as the sacrifice and at the moment when he raises his hand to slay his son… an Angel of the Lord cries out from Heaven and tells him not to sacrifice his son and because the Lord saw that Abraham fear and trusted in the Lord He provided a ram that was caught up in the thicket. It was at this moment that Abraham’s faith was solidified.
15 Then the Angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time out of heaven, 16 and said: “By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son— 17 blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. 18 In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.” 19 So Abraham returned to his young men, and they rose and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba.
Genesis 22:15-19
The story of Abram is a remarkable transformative telling of how one’s Faith is tried and tested but in the end reveals that nothing can be before Him the giver of life.. the author of our faith .. not even the Promise!
In closing, It’s easy to say oh “so and so” lacked faith or to say I am afraid or don’t know what’s next.
That 1st step is being transparent and owning up to your fear, doubt, etc. which if unchecked it WILL lead to your disobedience.
Next is repenting to God of your disobedience
The next part of repentance is turning to Him to DAILY to uncover the things that keep us BOUND and prevents us from MOVING!
Facing your fear is a key part to conquering it, however submitting to the Lord and being confirmed in your Faith in God through your Obedience is what will ultimately please Him!
Prayer:
Father God, we seek You to help us to recognize those areas were we lack faith. We are reminded again that You said that it is impossible to please You if we do not have faith in You and we know that if we diligently seeking You, You will reward us for those efforts. We repent even now of walking in doubt and fear causing us to miss the mark which leads to our disobedience. You said in Your word that Obedience is better than sacrifice and by disobeying Your Word and direction is as the sin of witchcraft. Thank you Lord for always leading us and guiding us in Your Truth which will always lead to Your way and Your will for our lives. Thank you for Your faithfulness and mercies each and everyday in Jesus’ name. AMEN!
If we paid attention from those mistakes, we grow and learn from them. To most April 1st aka Aprils Fools Day is day that is recognized by playing jokes on an unsuspecting person and when they fall for the well orchestrated or not so much planned out cape they are dubbed as an April Fool! It’s remarkable how many of us fall for the stunts every year knowing or perhaps forgetting about the day of April 1st.
Here’s a little bit of history about April Fool’s Day:
Prior to the use of the Gregorian Calendar in 1564 April 1, what we now call... April Fool's Day, was observed as the New Year by some cultures. In protest there were many who refused to celebrate Jan 1 as the new day to celebrate the New Year and hence those people were called Fools.
I guess theoretically, I should be saying Happy New Year!
Isn’t it funny how a change of events or how a group can perceive an event can alter history and subsequently change how everyone views a particular day, thought, or action?
We focus a lot on getting to or successfully arriving to a particular day in order to gain the next thing, whether it is fame & fortune, love & marriage, or simply just the day that everyone sees you and accepts you and you accept you. There are a ton of days that each of us honor and if asked would be deemed of great importance however, to another not so much. Paul admonishes us that we should not judge one another based on those observances.
However, there is one day that is SOOO very important and often it isn’t much recognized or thought of in advance. The day I am speaking to the day when you realized that you woke up but not by your own ability. You took in your first waking breath of the day and it wasn’t by your power or design. How about the day when you realized that there’s definitely a greater purpose for your life more than anyone or even yourself could ever imagine. This day that I speak of far outweighs the aforementioned. It is the day when you discovered that you are a sinner and by divine and supernatural intervention, you accepted Christ in your heart and the benefits of His redemptive work on Calvary. The glorious work which makes it possible for anyone of us to go before God and worship Him in Spirit and in Truth!
Just writing this reminds me of the remarkable day it was when I made that realization!
Thank God for Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice!
I am all for rewriting the history of today that is likened to being a joke or shouting out that you’ve been got in yet another “April Fool’s” antics, even it is just for ONE!
If you are reading this and have not yet received the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord & Savior or you may find that you need to rededicate yourself back to Christ please repeat this prayer:
Heavenly Father,I believe that Jesus Christ is Your only begotten Son, that He came down to our earth in the flesh and died on the cross to take away all of my sins and the sins of this world. I believe that Jesus Christ then rose from the dead on the third day to give eternal life to those who believe!
Lord,
I confess to You on this day all of the wrong and sinful things that I have ever done in my life. I ask that You please forgive me and wash away all of my sins by the blood that You have personally shed for me on the cross. I am ready to accept You as my personal Lord and Savior and I ask that You come into my life and live with me for all of eternity.
1 John 1:9
Psalm 51
If you have read these words sincerely from your heart, you are now born again and know that there are angels of God in heaven now rejoicing! ( Luke 15 8-9 NKJV)
I want to thank the last 44 people who decided to follow this blog, although it appears that I have dropped off into the “What in the World is Really Going on in the 2020sphere??” Trust me! I am still here and plugging along. I decided that WHENEVER I have a – hiatus, sabbatical, retreat, or staycation away from If My Words Could Speak I would not return with long drawn out reasons or excuses as to why! If you are reading these words for the first time you’ve never missed me and if you are a recent or long time follower well….. “I’M BACK!” I have definitely missed you! 🙂
I am actually on track for my 2021 schedule to refocus on writing. I feel most comfortable right now in this space – “If My Words Could Speak”. For the past 4 years I have hosted a Vision Board Event and it has transformed into something I get quite a bit of enjoyment from because it provides me an avenue to inspire others through the Truth of God’s Word toward reaching their God given goals. I’ve encouraged the group that I meet with monthly to have a list of things you would like to achieve in 2021….that you have already prayed about and got direction from the Lord, pick target dates for completion, and focus weekly on one or two things at a time. I found this little change of focusing on one to two item per week has eliminated a lot of the feelings of being overwhelmed with this huge list of to do’s. When you’ve accomplished a task or milestone it definitely is an inspiration to keep moving. Now this is the VERY condensed version but if anyone out there is interested in more… Comment down below or like the post!
Now on to what I initially wanted to share (which in a way can be connected to the above). I found myself in a bit of a rut with trying to decide a plan for this blog and other endeavors I wish to do. One of the main reasons, for this rut is simply tied into fighting the urges to be overly consumed with financial provision.
Instead of going with the flow, I get side tracked in the notion of making money to “survive”. Mind you I have been working from home technically prior to our world’s crisis and God has been doing just fine with His end of the deal. My issue begins when I stop doing what “Thus says the Lord..” and start on this detour of the what if this and that and how about and the why nots. I know I am certainly not alone with that endless mind game. Ever so often, I would read a blog or watch a video that basically caused me to snap out of that useless trance leading to nowhere but idle time.
It is very ironic (or is it?) that my devotional scripture today is: Philippians 4:19
“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
New King James Version
Now! This scripture gave me the nudge that I needed today BUT it wasn’t this alone that fueled me to just power up my computer and begin to type. “What was it?” you ask? Well it was preceding scriptures Paul wrote to the Believers in Philippi. He said to them to never be anxious for anything and when it starts to get overwhelming to think on the things that he taught them… basically remember the Word of God! He also thanked them for their support in his time of dire need at which then says to them, …”And my God shall supply ALL your need according to His riches in glory BY Christ Jesus” (emphasis mine).
See often times we forget that we are to service others whether it is to those doing the ministry work of sharing God’s Word or His ministry work of taking care of those who are less fortunate then we are – the homeless, orphaned, distressed, battered, hungry etc. The service that each Believer is responsible for transcends our own needs or understanding of anything that we are going through. We cannot expect to reap the benefits of what that one verse in scripture says and forget about the ENTIRE(chapter) or premise of what God is saying here through Paul.
I’ve been encouraged today to continue to do my part to help those who are less fortunate AND also, to exercise my gifts and passion for writing about and sharing His Word through my experiences.
