Hello All!
Time certainly does fly when you are living life! So let me begin my mentioning the proverbial “Elephant in the room”… What happen to days 15 through 24??? Well let’s see… There was a new addition to the family. Welcome Jeremiah! Of course I had to take time out to visit with the baby etc. What else… Summer’s over and the Fall Session is underway …BACK TO SCHOOL! … Work… A family reunion… More work… School work. You get the picture? 🙂 There are many, many times when we start doing something and get side tracked or even a better term — re-routed. I wouldn’t call anything of the above events distractions, road blocks, or hindrances. They are simply life events that take precedence over other life events.
During my brief hiatus … I got to thinking about the validity of our how our interruptions seemingly invade our life. There are all types of interruptions and it’s a good idea to always be on the “lookout” for them. In order to determine whether there’s an underlying reason and/or message to be learned. I emphasized “lookout” because often times when life happens we analyze it with our natural eyes or from a carnal perspective and never give credence to what has first happened in the Spirit. We live in a reverse reality and we assume incorrectly that that natural events make spiritual outcomes. There are soo many scriptures that come to mind that debunk that notion. “Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” Galatians 5:16 and “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” (Galatians 5:25) These speak to a Spiritual principle that let’s know that life happens first in the Spirit and therefore takes precedence and has a direct impact on our natural circumstances. Now I am not suggesting that our actions are not important however, what I am speaking to is which reality are we giving first seat to.
There are great advantages in continually reminding ourselves that we MUST live from a Spiritual standpoint and not a carnal one. This balancing act is a stuff one, yes indeed. However, it is achievable. One of the ways I believe we can conquer this battle is by always checking our faith. If we don’t have faith or if it is wavering or movable, we cannot have a belief in the Spiritual things of God which cannot be perceived with our natural eyes, no matter how hard we try. The word says, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6
2 Corinthians 4:
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. NKJV
Every aspect of our natural life is a direct result in the Spirit. As we walk along on our journey, we should perpetually ask the Lord to confirm our location to insure that we are on the right path. Psalm 23:3 says, “He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” Walking with the Lord requires that we do so, unless we look up and find that we have went down a wrong path or made a left turn and slipped in a rabbit hole or smack right into a brick. Sometimes we get stuck in one place thinking that we are advancing however we are only we are chasing our tails as it were. No matter how it looks, we need to check in with the Father for guidance and redirection!
Until Next Time…
