If My Words Could Speak

the musings of a peculiar poet….

Destiny… the determined path or direction of a person’s life. I always imagined that this courtship I have with Destiny is supposed to be a romantic one. You know the scenario… the good guys win and gets the girl so to speak or in my case the guy and ride off into the sunset on a secluded beach somewhere off on a Greek island ;-). When dealing with Destiny there is always conflict and intrigue. In the end we always expect the outcome to “feel good”. I will have you know that often times Destiny can come off as being uncaring, unaware or just not interested in your personal opinion of how things should be going. Destiny pays no attention to your longing for your future to finally make its grand entrance and with its own themed music no less! Although our walk with Destiny may have its dramatic turns, upsets, and romantic moments, the stark reality is this: Our Destiny is NOT played out on a stage or movie set. The determined path of our life usually doesn’t pan out the way we imagine it. Especially when our imagination is unrealistic and likened to a scene from a “reality” show. So please remember this:

IT IS NEVER HOW YOU IMAGINE OR THINK IT WILL BE!

We are not the author or the director of our Destiny, there is only ONE who is and that is God.

Acts 17:26

26 And He has made from one blood[a] every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, (NKJV)

Hopefully by having a submitted life to God through accepting His son Jesus Christ, we can realize what our true Destiny is. Since He determines everything about us, it would be wise to get with the one who could not only guide us on our date with Destiny but also reassure us when the ride is a bit bumpy and seems a tumultuous!

Until Next Time in Flight!!! VMarie aka Thr33
