If My Words Could Speak

Today as I drove to work I took a glimpse at my surroundings and sighed to myself because at that moment everything I looked at reminded me of the Lord Presence and He began speaking to me… for a moment I got a bit overwhelming b/c I wanted to sit — listen and take it ALL in but I couldn’t because I was driving @ 70mph, my phone ringing, in other words I allowed MY life to interrupt Him and therefore my attention was taken away from Him…. now that I am done with the 1st part of my Monday Madness, I can exhale again. I didn’t get a chance to look at my devotional before leaving … so I looked at it for today – Jesus Calling by Sarah Young in part this is what it said:

As you listen to birds calling to one another, hear also MY Love-call to you. I speak to you continually: through sights, sounds, thoughts, impressions, Scripture. There is no limit to the variety of ways I can communicate with you. Your part is to be attentive to My messages, in whatever form they come. When you set out to find Me in a day, you discover that the world is vibrantly alive with My Presence. You can find Me not only in beauty and birdcalls, but also in tragedy and faces filled with grief….. search for Me and Messages, as you go through this day….

It is so important to to be attentive to His Presence no matter what is going on.. otherwise we will miss the answers we’ve been seeking & waiting sooo long to hear.
