If My Words Could Speak

the musings of a peculiar poet….

Hello everyone… well I had to condense the following days b/c of ‘life’! and like I said before I endeavor to do this thing so here goes….

Day 3 — Lift Off!!!

I enjoy flying… simply because it is the quickest mode of transportation with that being said however I simply DO NOT enjoy the lift off or the landing portion. In my opinion it is the most unnerving and most dangerous part of the entire trip. It is at the moment of take off that you will know  if all of your preparations are indeed in tact and ready to go! For Real….  Can you remember the last time you thought you were prepared for something only to get started and could feel the entire situation crumble due to your lack of preparation. I CAN! 🙂 We have to ALWAYS remember that our preparation for any task is two-fold. We have to prepare ourselves spiritually & naturally.  The Word tells to count the cost of any endeavor that we plan to embark on.

Luke 14:28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he may have enough to finish it; 29 lest perhaps, after he has laid the foundation and is not able to finish, all those seeing begin to mock him, 30 saying, This man began to build and was not able to finish. 31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not first sit down and consult whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? 32 Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace.

Remember how we start can determine how we finish! Get Ready — Stay Ready & Do The Work!

Day 4 & 5 — In Flight Turbulence Part I …

Hello!

Both day 4 & 5 were not so smooth but that can be expected…  Now that we have prepared ourselves for a great lift off into FLIGHT… guess what? We can expect a bit of turbulence along the way.  Did you not know … <—-my pops says this all the time…pause… waiting for you to lean in to catch what he is about to say…. lol)  Did you not know ….. all the Hell you went through to prepare and actually get on the right track to begin whatever it is you are supposed to do most times is nowhere near the fight to keep you on that same track? Yes TURBULENCE is a given. Let’s look at the definition of that word:

tur·bu·lence [túrbyələnss]

or tur·bu·len·cy[túrbyələnssee]

noun
1. unrest: a state of confusion characterized by unpredictability and uncontrolled change
2. meteorology instability in atmosphere: an instability in the atmosphere that disrupts the flow of the wind, causing gusty, unpredictable air currents

Ahhhh words can paint the picture! Turbulence — an instability in the atmosphere that disrupts the flow of the wind, causing gusty, unpredictable air currents…  Need I say more? It is important that we understand FULLY that Jesus NEVER promised us a rose garden and smooth trip ALL the time. In fact, when things are going TOO well I tend to look around to see what is up. lol When the winds start blowing and you are experiencing torrential rains just remember that it was Jesus who bade you to come and if you feel as if you are about to have a crash landing — IT IS ONLY JUST A FEELING… Call on Him as Peter did and He will be there — Trust!

Mat 14:30 But seeing that the wind was strong, he was afraid. And beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me!

Until Next Time …. Bask in His Presence & Be Blessed!
