If My Words Could Speak

the musings of a peculiar poet….

For those of you who don’t know … I live not too far from the epicenter of the 2011 East Coast earthquake and on the outskirts of Ms Hurricane Irene…  My plan around Day 25 or so was to end  by giving everyone a break down of discoveries during my August Restart AND also present a piece I am working on.  I did say … my plan. We all know that plans are needed BUT can be changed at a moments notice. (I am still working on the piece… PRAY!)  Overall I have been successful in my efforts to restart .. refocus on some things.  I really believe that we must do this often! Especially when it appears that everything has gotten jumbled up or mundane. We must restart to ensure that we get back online to where God would have us to be.

I am very much excited by the out pour of all you who contacted me via comments and/or email to let me know you are encouraged by the words that the Lord has given me to share. Trust me when I say I am humbled by that and understand that I must keep going and not to stop or or allow things to hinder this flow…. b/c trust me as a writer that ‘flow’ can come to a screeching HALT at any given moment.   I am very much determined today more than every to “keep pressing”! Thanks again for your support and look forward to  great things to come!

I thought it was appropriate for me to end this restart with a Word of the Day:  Today’s Word is METTLE

mettle\MET-ul\

noun

1 a :vigor and strength of spirit or temperament

b :staying quality : stamina

2 quality of temperament or disposition

Being on your mettle would mean one was ready and determined to do your best. This word mettle is the variant of the word metal and also is synonymous with courage. If you were described as being a mettlesome person, you would be classified as someone who is COURAGEOUS!

It is very important for us to maintain due diligence in whatever we aspire to do ESPECIALLY if what you are presenting is from the Lord. But most importantly, everything that we do —  must be and should be done unto the Lord! When we present our life, our work, our task unto Him it is HE that gets the full Glory and not ourselves.  Also, while maintaining this STAMINA we are to endure hardness as a good soldier. We all know that even though the earth will move and the rains, winds and floods will come, we must remain standing steadfast and immovable and always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not without fruit in the Lord.  (1 Cor 15:58)

This fruit in which the Lord is speaking is NOT a house, car, monies, or earthly influence NO — this fruit is simply a place in Eternity!

Do You Know Him?? Well Get to Know Him — Romans 10: 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Until Next Time…. Bask In His Presence & Be Blessed!
